#NP: DJ Cypha Big Daddy Friday Tribute
It's been 6 years since we lost the best Virgin Islands calypso artist to ever perform on stage. In memory of Daddy Friday, DJ Cypha of Powerhouse Sounds releases to the 340 Muzik community his "Big Daddy Friday Tribute Mix." DJ Cypha touches on all the big hits in this mix and let me tell you that ain't easy to do when you making a mix of a man with 17 road marches alone (THAT'S A WHOLE ALBUM OF ROAD MARCHES!!!). @340Muzik would like to take some time to introduce to our viewers one of the many Virgin Islands artists that have yet to reach their full potential. Unlike much of what we have posted on the site thus far this special artist is one that hones his lyrical skills in the genre of dancehall. @340Muzik would like to introduce to you an artist named N'Ergi (Pronounced Energy).
Born in Dominica & raised in the U.S Virgin Islands N'ergi is a dancehall artist that aims to revolutionize the outlook on dancehall music. With his energetic style and catchy lyrics N'ergi has become another rising star throughout the Caribbean islands. Given the opportunity to work with people like ...O.T.M.[Ones to Millions]-USVI, JTalent[Aka The Beat Bully] - Virginia and influences such as Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Movado, Aidonia and so many other dancehall Icons. N'ergi is now set out on a journey to success, By any means necessary. With a humble beginning he states that without those that work along side him none of this would be possible. He also endorses that Animosty Productions has become that foundation for where he shall build his musical empire. Below N'ergi was able to get an exclusive look into his upcoming mixtape. New Band Alert: Volume International!!!
There's a NEW band in Rock City, St. Thomas and they're called Volume International. They released two songs lastweek on the Avalanche Radio Show around 4pm. 340 Muzik didn't get a chance to hear them release their songs but from the looks of Twitter & Facebook... the people were already going crazy.
